The Meaning of Life

Here is my entry for the art contest this weekend. I didn't win but I felt proud of my efforts and I think people got the message that I was trying to send with my work. I also sang a couple of songs and I realized I need to write some more music. I added a couple of lines to a song from a few years ago to make it more balanced, and I had an idea for a new one this morning. It may be called "the meaning of life" or "the purpose of it all" or "what to do on Earth" or something like that.
Basically we are animals. There is nothing of any significance that separates us from the rest of the animals on the earth, or indeed the plants and insects and fish and so on. Humans are just evolved in a way that our brains are too big. This gives us the ability to outthink other creatures to the point that we are at the top of the food chain, but also leaves us with way too much time to waste fooling ourselves that we are somehow special among the living creatures. It has even led to some amazingly retarded proclamations such as we are are created in God's image or the rest of the world was made for humans to use. That makes me laugh and then sigh sadly.
The purpose of life is nothing more than to reproduce. That is the reason that life exists and the only purpose it will ever have. We are form of adaptation of matter that has learned to reproduce very well, though not as well as, say, mosquitoes. Actually being so large is really a mistake, not only because it makes us vulnerable to gravity and other things, but we have way too much free time to think too much. That is an evolutionary mistake that will soon be phased out when humans' blip on the timeline of the universe is extinguished in a little while.
Since our big brains allow us the free time to have hobbies, having ones like caring and kindness and charity are fine ways to waste away the years. They don't actually MEAN anything, however. Not to the cold blackness of the void. There is in fact nothing that human beings or any life could do that would have any effect on our world of any significance as it will all be erased before long. We only fool ourselves into thinking that we are important. However, in the meantime before we die and are permanently erased from existence in all ways, we should amuse ourselves in every way possible. If you are amused by telling other people how they should not amuse themselves, please die in a fire immediately.
I am going to try to turn this sentiment into a song. Black metal comes to mind but I like soft acoustic guitar and melody.
